The Remodeling Process

Although the process of remodeling can sometimes mean a certain amount of stress; we here at All Pro Builders Inc. strive to make it an enjoyable experience. Sure, there will be some noise and some dust, but watching your design dreams unfold before you can be quite rewarding.

Basically, there are several stages involved in the remodeling process; and our job is to help this process go as smoothly as possible. The following is a general guideline of those stages:

  • Design
  • Planning
  • City Plan Check/Permits
  • Construction
    • Demolition
    • Plumbing
    • Concrete
    • Framing
    • Electrical
    • Roofing
    • Doors & Windows
    • Stucco/Siding
    • Insulation
    • Drywall
    • Finish Work
  • Final Inspection

Of course, not all projects will involve all stages. For instance, a Room Addition could involve all aspects of construction, while a Kitchen Remodel may only involve the plumbing and electrical along with the interior finish work (cabinets, appliances, etc.).

Also included—but not shown—in the above timeline are City required inspections. Along with the inspection comes the possibility of the Inspector calling for corrections, which will require the items being completed/corrected and then scheduling another inspection. This means additional time being added to the job in order to comply with the city’s requirements.

Additionally, some work may require a temporary disconnection of service (plumbing and/or electrical), but only for the shortest possible time to avoid any major inconvenience.

Again, it is our goal to complete any remodeling project in a timely manner, while keeping the jobsite as clean as possible and providing quality workmanship; thereby making it an enjoyable experience for everyone.
